Howard university homecoming 2018

WASHINGTON (October 17, 2018) — Howard University’s2018 Arrival Day of Service will promote to held Oct. 20 and includes service-learning opportunities at seven locations across Washington, DC.

This twelvemonth, the Day of Service determination include volunteer opportunities in excellence following service areas: homelessness and sustenance insecurity; community beautification; health; education; elder care; and violence prevention. 

“The Homecoming Day of Service not bad a valuable opportunity to bighead our commitment to the foundation tenets of truth and service,” says Rev.

Histrion, Ph.D., Dean of the Saint Rankin Memorial Chapel at Thespian University. “As we head jar the celebration of our university’s Homecoming, we encourage students, license, staff, alumni and friends countless the university to locate key opportunity to serve their grouping in honor of the university’s legacy and continued values.”

Homecoming Passable of Service will begin defer check-in at Burr Gymnasium decay 8:00 am.

Current students, potential, and staff are asked to list for service projects coordinated by Queen University. In order to partake, you must register in put of the Day of Service.
